L’india, continuando nella sua recente campagna proibizionista verso alcuni software per piattaforme mobile, ha da poco annunciato di aver bannato dal proprio territorio nazionale 118 app, inclusi giochi come PUBG Mobile e PUBG Mobile Lite, AFK Arena, Arena of Valor e, essenzialmente, tutti i giochi di NetEase come Marvel Super War.

Il ban della versione mobile del battle royale di Tencent Ganes segue, per l’appunto, quello di altre app come TikTok, WeChat e Weibo, avvenuto all’inizio dell’estate. Come รจ possibile notare dall’elenco delle applicazioni bandite (visibile qui di seguito), si tratta di prodotti sviluppati tutti da societร societร /sviluppatori cinesi (compresa la versione mobile di PUBG).
In una nota diffusa dal Ministero dell’Elettronica e Information Technology, che spiega le ragioni del provvedimento restrittivo, si parla di “app che fanno un uso improprio dei dati personali degli utenti, sottraendo informazioni e dati sensibili che vengono poi inviate a server che si trovano al di fuori dei confini dell’india”.
Il Ministero dell’Elettronica e Information Technology ha ricevuto molti reclami da varie fonti, tra cui diversi report, sull’uso improprio di alcune app mobili disponibili su piattaforme Android e iOS per la sottrazione e la trasmissione di nascosto dei dati degli utenti in modo non autorizzato a server che si trovano al di fuori dei confini nazionali. La raccolta di questi dati, la loro estrazione e profilazione da parte di elementi ostili alla sicurezza nazionale e alla difesa dell’India, che alla fine incidono sulla sovranitร e sull’integritร dell’India, รจ una questione di profonda e immediata preoccupazione che richiede misure di emergenza.
