Dopo aver conquistato il pubblico, regalandoci un intenso ed emozionante spaccato del Giappone feudale dei samurai, Shōgun trionfa meritatamente agli Emmy Awards 2024 surclassando gli altri vincitori e prendendosi la scena della cerimonia che assegna i premi della Television Academy.
La serie TV di Hulu e Disney+, forte delle 25 nomination, si porta a casa ben 18 statuette comprensive dei riconoscimenti più di peso, ovvero quello di Miglior Serie Drammatica, Miglior attore protagonista in una serie drammatica e Miglior attrice protagonista in una serie drammatica, con le performance di Hiroyuki Sanada e Anna Sawai che sottolineano il trionfo dello show, prima serie non anglofona ad aggiudicarsi il premio come miglior drama.
Già in tempi non sospetti, forti dei dati degli ascolti e con gli occhi ancora pieni della magia che Shogun è riuscita a portare sul piccolo schermo, avevamo pronosticato la vittoria dell’interprete di Toda Mariko, personaggio che ha letteralmente bucato lo schermo e, a volte, messo in ombra anche la superba interpretazione di Sanada come Yoshii Toranaga.
Ma tra i protagonisti della serata troviamo anche The Bear, show che si aggiudica 11 statuette su 23 nomination nonostante il premio come Miglior serie comedy si andato ad Hacks, e per Baby Reindeer, lo show Netflix che vince quattro premi come Miglior serie limitata o antologica, Miglior sceneggiatura, Miglior attore protagonista (Richard Gadd) e Miglior attrice non protagonista (Jessica Gunning).
Ma andiamo a scoprire tutti i vincitori degli Emmy Awards 2024 e anche chi non ce l’ha fatta per un pelo.
